ECFE Parent Advisory Council
The Parent Advisory Council is a group of volunteer parents and community members who promote the goals of the Early Childhood Family Education Program.
What Do We Do?
The Parent Advisory Council advises the Early Childhood Family Education program on a variety of issues affecting parents of young children, including policy, fees, programming, how money is spent, and what events are important to families. Our mission is to be responsive to all young families in the HLWW communities.
The Council sponsors a variety of fun events for young families.
The Council also reaches out to the community by:
- Informing legislators, school board, new parents, and the community in general about Early Childhood Family Education.
- Collaborating with other community organizations on projects to benefit families with young children.
The Council manages fundraisers and determines where to allocate the monies raised. In past years they have raised funds supplementing classroom materials and student activities. How Can You Find Us? To learn more about the Parent Advisory Council:
- Come to a monthly meeting. Free childcare is available by advance request. Visitors are welcome anytime!
