Grief Counseling and Guidance

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, HLWWHS will continue to have extra support on hand to assist students in need who are grieving the passing of their former classmate and friend, Jacob MacDonald.  The Media Center is designated for students who need help during this difficult time.  Mrs. Holm, Mrs. Adickes, and Mrs. Cottingham will be available for support as needed by the students.  Please inform your student that if they need support, they can find it throughout the school and in the main location of the Media Center.  Support is also available at the Middle School and Elementary Schools.

Attached, parents and guardians will find a PDF of information on how to help their child with grief.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our school counselors or principals for help.

Thank America's Teachers

We are proud to announce a grant opportunity for our teachers at HLWW.  Through Farmers Insurance, students and parents have the opportunity to Thank A Teacher (see the flyer link posted below).  If a thank you is posted, that teacher then has the opportunity to apply for a $2,500 grant for their classroom.  Five visionary teachers from across the country will also be awarded a $100,000 grant.

Please get on-line and thank a teacher today!

HLWW Hall of Fame Nominations
