Volunteers…we need you!

HLWW School District requires background checks on all school volunteers. The form below indicates your interest to volunteer in our schools. You will be notified when the volunteer background check is complete. The form should be submitted as soon as possible. PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE ONE FORM PER CHILD.  The application process must be completed ONCE EVERY SCHOOL YEAR. Allow 5 to 10 business days for processing. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the secretary at your child’s school or any of the building principals. Thank you for taking the time to give our students and staff a valuable resource – you.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Emily Holm and I have been the high school counselor for HLWW since 2017. I grew up on a dairy farm in Litchfield, Minnesota before going on to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Southwest Minnesota State University, and then my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I now live in Dassel with my husband Nic and two kids, Greta and Andrew.
I enjoy working one on one with students whether we are discussing careers they are interested in, social struggles they may be facing, or academic concerns. It has been a joy to get to know students on a variety of levels and use my training and education to help students both on their best days as well as their challenging times.
